Chango means 'little rascal' in Spanish. It is one of my favorite birds.
Chango is a grackle (Greater Antillean Grackle).
Chango or Machambo is the most popular bird in Puerto Rico. Changos have startlingly yellow eyes and beautiful keel-shaped tails that they use as a rudder in flight. Changos are very noisy and bold. I love their flirting dances. They flirt all the time. :)
The Flamboyant (from French "flaming") is another iconic image of Puerto Rico. It is also known as Flame Tree, Royal Poinciana, Peacock Flower, and Gulmohar. Flamboyant trees have very beautiful orange and yellow flowers.
